Home / News / “Tamakani” Project Signs Cooperation Agreements with Four Local Civil Society Organizations to Strengthen Women’s Empowerment Services in Aqaba Aqaba – September 9, 2026 10/09/2026 “Tamakani” Project Signs Cooperation Agreements with Four Local Civil Society Organizations to Strengthen Women’s Empowerment Services in Aqaba Aqaba – September 9, 2026 As part of its efforts to expand the services it provides and strengthen its network of partners, the “Tamakani – For Women and Girls for a Better Future” Project, implemented by the Al-Sumo Charitable Association for Care and Entrepreneurship and funded by the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), announced the signing of a series of cooperation and strategic partnership agreements with a number of active civil society organizations in Aqaba Governorate.The signing ceremony was attended by Ms. Nidaa Al-Shweikh, President of the Al-Sumo Charitable Association for Care and Entrepreneurship, along with representatives of the partner organizations. The agreements were signed with the following organizations:* Al-Mithaq Association for Development and Empowerment, represented by Mr. Bakr Abdel-Jawad.* Nema Preservation Association, represented by Ms. Haneen Al-Jarahi.* Durat Ayla Association for Social Protection, represented by Ms. Rana Krishan.* Tomorrow’s Youth Center for Civil Society Development.These partnerships aim to unite institutional efforts and coordinate field activities to facilitate women’s and girls’ access to the comprehensive range of services provided by the “Tamakani” Project, enabling them to benefit from psychosocial support, legal consultations, social and economic empowerment, and economic rehabilitation programs.The project management emphasized that these agreements reflect its commitment to institutional cooperation as a means of maximizing impact and expanding the reach of its beneficiaries. The partnerships also seek to contribute to creating a safe and enabling environment for women and girls, empowering them to participate actively in their communities and contribute to sustainable development at the local level.
