Aqaba – September 9, 2026 The “Tamakani" – For Women and Girls for a Better Future” Project, implemented by the Al-Sumo Charitable Association for Care and Entrepreneurship and funded by the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), has launched its first strategic cooperation agreements with a number of civil society organizations in Aqaba Governorate.The signing ceremony was held with the participation of Ms. Nidaa Al-Shweikh, President of the Al-Sumo Charitable Association, and under the patronage of Mr. Moawad Al-Zuwaydeh, President of the Federation of Charitable Associations. The initial partnerships include:* Aqaba Gulf Center, represented by Dr. Yaser Al-Ajlouni.* Farha Women’s Association for Charitable Work, represented by Ms. Ola Abu Halil.This launch marks the first step toward establishing a community-based cooperation network aimed at bringing efforts together and facilitating women’s and girls’ access to an integrated package of services, including psychosocial support, legal consultations, and social and economic empowerment.Through its platform, the project management emphasized that these partnerships mark the beginning of a long-term path focused on creating meaningful and sustainable impact in the lives of women and girls, while contributing to the development of a safe and supportive environment that enables them to move forward toward positive change.
