As Part of the “Tamakkani” Project Activities: An Awareness Workshop on Women’s Rights under the Jordanian Social Security Law

As part of our ongoing efforts to empower women and equip them with the legal and economic knowledge needed to protect their rights, the Sumo Association for Care and Entrepreneurship, through its “Tamakkani” Project, organized a specialized awareness workshop entitled “Women’s Rights under the Jordanian Social Security Law.” The workshop was delivered by legal expert and attorney Ms. Ola Abu Halail.

The workshop featured interactive discussions highlighting key rights and social security benefits guaranteed to working women under Jordanian law, as well as social protection mechanisms and the vital role of legal awareness in building a more secure, empowered, and stable future for women and girls.

This activity is part of a series of programs implemented under the “Tamakkani” Project, funded and generously supported by the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) and UN Women Jordan, in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development, the Australian Embassy in Jordan, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP Jordan).

We encourage women to benefit from the specialized services and clinics available through our platform in the areas of economic and legal empowerment and psychological support, and to seek consultations tailored to their individual needs, becoming active and empowered members of the “Tamakkani” community.
