Tamakani Project Conducts Specialized Session on Mental Well-Being Through Art

The Tamakani Project – Protecting and Empowering Women and Girls for a Better Future conducted a specialized session entitled “Mental Well-Being Through Art,” delivered by Dr. Sanaa Khataibeh, with the aim of promoting mental health awareness and providing a safe space for participants to express their feelings and thoughts through drawing and colors.

The session explored drawing as a creative approach that can be used to express emotions and thoughts. Participants engaged in interactive activities that enabled them to express themselves in a non-verbal way and reflect on their feelings and thoughts within a supportive and safe environment.

The session also highlighted the importance of emotional expression and self-awareness, while introducing creative approaches that can be used to help manage everyday pressures and emotions.

The session forms part of Tamakani Project’s activities aimed at strengthening psychological and social support for women and girls and providing safe spaces that encourage expression and participation while supporting their well-being
