In observance of World Mental Health Day, a walking activity was held as part of the Tamakani Project – Protecting and Empowering Women and Girls for a Better Future, with the participation of a group of women. The activity aimed to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity in supporting mental and physical well-being and managing everyday stress.

The activity took place in a positive atmosphere that encouraged movement, connection, and participation. It highlighted the role of walking in improving mood and renewing energy, as well as its value in fostering social interaction and creating opportunities for positive communication and mutual support among participants.

The activity emphasized the importance of adopting simple daily practices that contribute to mental well-being, promote balance in everyday life, and reinforce the understanding that mental health is an essential component of overall well-being and quality of life.

The activity forms part of Tamakani Project’s efforts to raise mental health awareness among women and girls and encourage initiatives that support their health and well-being, contributing to a community with greater awareness of the importance of mental health.
